Flashback Friday

I’m blowing off the dust and cobwebs and re-visiting some of my ‘historical’ blog entries. Some of them are a tiny bit embarrassing and some timeless – you decide. 🙂

While some stamp sets and products may no longer be available –  the card layout and inspiration remain fun to revisit. Welcome to ‘Flashback Fridays’.

Here’s a post from late last 2012:

Hi All,

Here is another of my designs for the Festive Friday Design Team. This week we had an inspirational photo to help us to create our cards. But for some reason I just can’t load that photo.!! Doh!!!! So you’ll have to scoot over to the Festive Friday blog to see what it looked like. 🙂 You can also see what the rest of the Design Team created and maybe join in the fun and submit a card of your own too!

For my card I’ve used my Greeting Card Kids stamp set from page 14 of the 2012/13 Annual Catalogue. It’s a really fun set to colour and has a nice vintage feel. I used chalks to colour directly on top of the news print designer series paper.

Another fun elements about this card is the speckled effect on the Midnight Muse blue card stock. I’ve used my Illuminate Glimmer Watermark stamp set and directly applied the upside-down pad to the card stock. I had already run the cardstock through the Northern Flurry embossing folder (I’m loving that folder right now). I’ve especially rubbing it over the snowfakes – so shimmery!!!!

A little bit of the Glass Stampin’ Glitter, some circles in(circle punches are sooooooo essential to your basic kit) all sponged with Versa Mark to give some depth.

Hope you like it!!

Happy Stamping

Festive Friday #37 Colour Challenge

Hi Peeps,

Another Festive Friday challenge – this one is a colour challenge that really suits my natural happy place.

Christmas is creeping up on us!! I have my first Christmas Card Making class next month on the 25th of October. Mark it in your calendar and I’ll give you more updates really soon.

Lots of square punches, round punches and framelits used in the creation of this baby. Email me for a complete product listing to make this card.

I wanted to share something too… I saw this rainbow the other day and it would have to be one of the most beautiful I’ve ever soon. I made a wish on it for a little girl thats very ill. If wishes come true surely wishing on a rainbow must make it stronger.

Happy stamping,

Festive Friday #19 – Glitter and Glimmer Challenge

Hi All,

This weeks Challenge is ‘Glitter and Glimmer’. I’ve gone completely over the top with Glitter …. well glitter paper anyways.

This card has got pride of place in my room… it’s so sparkly and fun.

I’ve used my trusty Two Step Bird Punch to help me with my wreath and the yummy Seam binding Ribbon. Contact me at carolynb@adam.com.au if you’d like to order or ask questions about the tools and accessories on this card.

Head on over to Nicole’s blog http://nicolederendorf.com/ to see what the other gals on the Festive Friday Design Team have made this month.

Happy Stamping,

x Carolyn
